Mission of the FNHRDCQ

The mission of the First Nations Human Resources Development Commission of Quebec is to promote employment for all First Nations of Quebec, including urban Natives and to advance their personal and professional development.

Mandate of the FNHRDCQ

On behalf of the 29 First Nations, the FNHRDCQ is responsible for administering the AHRD agreement as well as the Urban Strategies Agreement which supports First Nations, Métis, Inuit and Cree living in urban centers of Quebec.

Through the many service points that regroup 22 local native organizations and four (4) Urban service centers in Montreal, Quebec, Val d’Or and Sept-Îles, the FNHRDCQ assists clients to integrate the labour market by presenting various employment and training strategies.

Employment and training strategies

Employment and training strategies attempt to answer the needs of the client. In fact, Human Resources Development is based on an individual approach that necessitates the identification of client needs in terms of training and employment followed by an action plan that emphasizes the necessary steps to integrate or reintegrate the labour market.
